Drive down the escarpment via the floor of the scenic Great Rift Valley and have a stopover at the view point. Proceed and arrive at Maasai Mara Game Reserve in time for check in. Check in to your preferred hotel. Spend the afternoon at leisure enjoying the lodge facilities and amenities. Enjoy evening sundowner cocktails as you watch the majestic sundown. Wake up with the dawn to witness the majestic sunrise then after breakfast leave for full day game drives at mara river migration bride area where you might be lucky to witness hunting. This day is spent game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife park in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. Wherever you go in the vast Maasai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot, but reasonably common. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October to December. There is nothing thrilling like relaxing and swimming to end such an adventurous day. Dinner and overnight at the preferred lodge. You can opt for horse-riding,hot air ballons and maasai village visits at an extra cost on any of the days.
